Orientation Training Held for First-Year Students of the Logistics Program

The Orientation Training for first-year students of the Logistics Program, Department of Management and Organization, Balıkesir University Bigadiç Vocational School of Higher Education, was held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:15 in Amphitheater 2.

During the training, students were provided with detailed information about the general structure of our university, the academic calendar, course registration procedures, student affairs units, and advisory services. In addition, library facilities, cultural and sports activities, exchange programs (Erasmus+, Farabi, Mevlana), accommodation, and transportation opportunities were introduced.

Specifically for the program, students were informed about the purpose of the Logistics Program, its curriculum structure, and the 3+1 education model. Explanations were given on workplace training processes, students’ duties and responsibilities, academic advising, course exemptions, examination rules, and success evaluation criteria.

The orientation training was an important step in helping students adapt to the university and acquire the essential academic and social information they will need. The event, in which students’ questions were also answered, was completed in an interactive atmosphere.
