Bigadiç Vocational School Logistics Program Receives MEDEK Accreditation Certificate at a Ceremony
The Logistics Program of Bigadiç Vocational School has achieved a significant success by earning MEDEK Accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation process based on quality assurance in vocational education. The accreditation certificate was officially presented to the authorized representatives of the program at the Certificate Award Ceremony hosted by Balıkesir University.
As a result of the evaluations conducted by the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), the accreditation certificate was presented on behalf of MEDEK by Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar, Rector of Bursa Technical University. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, along with Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl. Administrators and representatives of the vocational schools involved in the accreditation process were also present at the ceremony.
The accreditation certificate was received on behalf of the Bigadiç Vocational School Logistics Program by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Murat Bicil, Director of Bigadiç Vocational School, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ümit Yılmaz, Head of the Department of Management and Organization.
The Logistics Program conducted within Bigadiç Vocational School was granted accreditation following detailed and multi-dimensional evaluations in terms of its education and training structure, program learning outcomes, measurement and evaluation processes, internal and external stakeholder participation, and continuous improvement mechanisms. With this certificate, the quality of vocational education delivered within the program has been officially recognized by an independent and nationally authorized accreditation body.
During the ceremony, it was emphasized that accreditation certificates represent more than formal documents and serve as concrete indicators of the quality-oriented management approach institutionalized across Balıkesir University. Appreciation was expressed to all academic and administrative staff who contributed to the process, and it was stated that the university and its affiliated units would continue to pursue development based on quality assurance with determination.
